Dr Mark Dean was Laurie Carmichael Distinguished Research Fellow at the Carmichael Centre within the Centre for Future Work at The Australia Institute. He holds a PhD in Social Sciences from The University of Adelaide where his research critically analysed the political economy of manufacturing deindustrialisation in Australia.
Mark’s research experience and interests include industrial transformation, industry policy, innovation and technological change, economic history, economic geography, trade union leadership, industrial relations, and gender studies.
